I could sit and write about my college degree and job experiences to try to convince you I'm qualified for the job, but the truth is I'm a photographer because that has been one of my childhood goals. I would spend countless hours staring at my grandparents old photographs and the joy I got from looking at the smiles in those photographs made me want to bring the same joy to others. My grandmother bought my first camera. I still have it (lol).
Why do I do this?...I recently had an experience where my photos were one of the only professional pictures a family had to remember someone. When someone looks at their family in their photos, they are thinking about how much they loved them...or if someone graduates, they are looking at themselves and what they have accomplished. It isn't the important people I have met. All of my clients are important. This isn't a job. This is an experience. This is what I worked so hard for. To see you have as much fun as I am when I'm capturing your moment, brings me so much joy.
There isn't a day where I don't take the opportunity to learn and perfect my craft.
Yes, I have a degree in Media Studies (documentary and news). My journey began in advertising and television.
I like to tell a good story...whether it is verbally or through my work (yes, I have a thousand crazy stories to tell).
Through the years, I have met some very talented videographers. It is something I use to do in my "former life" so if you need those type of services...it may be something I can do or something that someone I know can help you with.
I am proficient in Photoshop and Lightroom. I prefer to use Lightroom for light touch ups. I don't like to alter someone's complete appearance. You are who you are. I will touch up scars or recent imperfections upon request.
I use Canon gear. In my free time, I like to work on light photo restorations of photos.
